Creating
Community Connections |
This innovative program employs community
members as Community Researchers (CR). The CRs are supporting,
encouraging and fostering community group interaction, with
the aim of enriching social networks and assisting new residents
to engage with the broader community.
Part of this strategy is to develop a free
community services booklet titled 'Living on the Northern
Gold Coast'. The booklet aims to be a welcoming tool for new
residents to more easily locate services and businesses within
he Northern Gold Coast area.
CRs also work alongside community members
to; gather data in an emerging community; assist community
members to develop neighbourhoob projects like street bbqs,
family fin days and community events; inform and educate about
FREE community child friendly activities through regular newsletters;
and the broader strategy of developing parent support groups. |
For more information about the programs
and services offered by the Northern Gold Coast Communities
for Children, check out the 'Living on the Northern Gold Coast
